Maddiston Evangelical Church - What does our name say about us?

Where we are - Maddiston

As the name indicates, we are a church based in Maddiston, a growing community of about 1500 homes, on the east side of Falkirk.  The Christians in Maddiston Evangelical Church have met on the present site in California Road since 1952, although the church has worshipped in other buildings in Maddiston since 1922.

Who we are - a church

Although we meet in a building, we are a family of people of all ages, backgrounds and experiences with a common link - a living faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to honour God.  

There are approximately 120 people in membership. However, many more are helped by individuals in the church, or come to the various clubs, outreaches and events run by church members. Our church is self-governing - lead by a leadership team of elders.  

What we do - evangelical

The word evangelical comes from ‘evangel’ which means good news.  As well as worshipping and serving God, one of our aims is to share the good news about Jesus Christ as Saviour through our life, works and words.
